Dear Sir/Madam

We are writing to ask if you can help us with our university project. We are making a 3D map of the city of Vila Real so we would be very grateful if you could tell us which hardware, page layout software and data communications systems you use at Imagine That. Could you also tell us what software is best for 3D animation.

Thank you very much in advance.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Lina Iria, student representative.

Posted by: linairia on: Outubro 30, 2009

orange-juice

First you have to pick oranges of the tree or just buy them in supermarket.

The second step is clean very well every oranges.

Then you have to cut every oranges in two parts, through its equator.

After that you have to squeeze all the parts to a glass or something like that.

Finally you can drink  and if you want add some sugar.

Enjoy!

Colours of Nature

RED

There are more words in the English language for red than for any other color.

There are also more red pigments available for artists than any other color.

colours

Scarlet – It is the red of unripe tomatoes and some Pelargoniums.

Mid-red – It is the color of fresh strawberries.

Crimson – It is the color of velvet roses.

Coral red – This is a rarer color, orange-bias in thick washes and tending to violet-bias in thinner layers.

Rose – Rose reds are the same bias and to a certain extent achieve a similar effect in mixes as the crimsons.

Maroon – It is a mixes of deep reds and greens.

What is a game?

Posted by: linairia on: Outubro 5, 2009

In our days we are surrounded  by a huge variety of games but what exactly is a game?

       games

In my opinion a game has to be mainly for entertainment, whether or not a purpose but since people are having fun no matter if they win or lose. The game has to be  interactive, the player interacts with the virtual world or not that the game provides. I think that a game has also a specific objective, like in FIFA we have to make goals and win the game, and in the Sims (as many people think that the Sims is a game without goal), but I do not agree, I think that the sims has not only  a goal but several, consists of several stages that we found throughout the game.

In conclusion the games are entertainment, are interactive and have rules and conditions of victory and defeat, several players, even if the other players are artificial or mechanical, which can interfere with each other, preventing or helping someone achieve the objectives.

“The key components of games are goals, rules, challenge, and  interaction. Games generally involve mental or physical stimulation, and often both.”

My notebook

Hi everyone!

Posted by: linairia on: Setembro 19, 2009

My name is Lina Iria, I am 19 years old and I live in Vila Real.
I am currently in my second year of University at UTAD on the ‘Comunicação e Multimédia’ course. Walking, reading, cinema, going out with friends and running mostly occupy my free time, I also enjoy singing and playing the flute. I would like to finalize my studies in England, and then maybe live there because the English people and culture really fascinate me.
